Dependable Supply of Renewable Electricity

Demand for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems has spiked in the last few years as concerns around climate change grow and customers seek reliable, affordable solutions to help offset ever-rising energy costs.

TC Renewables Ltd said this, the experts in wind and solar PV power solutions for households, businesses and farms.

Solar PV systems are today a reliable and cost-effective solution for generating renewable electricity, with surplus energy stored in batteries for later use or directed towards heating water.

Dependable Supply of Renewable Electricity

Solar PV is a well-proven technology that converts sunlight into electricity.  Made of tempered glass these systems last for up to 30 years and can withstand extreme weather conditions.

Incredibly durable, solar PV systems are very reliable with very predictable generation over the year and, with no moving parts, there are little maintenance costs.

With attractive government grants and tax write offs available to encourage installation, and finance offered by professional companies like TC renewables, solar PV solutions are affordable and one of the best investments to improve sustainability and reduce exposure to ever rising energy bills.

Grants for Solar PV Systems

Companies like TC Renewables can advise customers of the options available and even help get the paperwork done. Farmers can secure a grant for a solar PV system through a Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) grant from the Department of Agriculture (40% and 60% for qualifying young farmers) but this grant is only available to farms which are very high users of electricity (dairy, poultry and pig farms).

The Sustainability Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) also offers a 25% BEC grant which is open to all customers and typically covers in excess of a quarter of the upfront costs.

TC Renewables offers low cost finance packages for farmers, businesses and domestic users, where the loan is secured against the install asset and the repayments made from the energy saving secured over a three to seven-year period.

Investment Approach

For most customers TC Renewables recommends a two-stage approach to solar PV investment.

Stage 1: Install solar PV for self-consumption, with any surplus generated used to heat water or diverted to battery storage for later use when no solar power is available.

Stage 2: Increase the solar PV install once the option for selling surplus to the grid is introduced. This option is not presently available and is being progressed by Government - it is expected that it will be in place in the next 12-18 months.

Choose Reliable Service Providers

Like TC Renewables there are numerous other companies that offer solar PV solution design and installation services. Customers are advised to choose wisely and go only with an experienced company with a good track record and after sales service.

TC Renewables has successfully implemented thousands of solar PV systems Ireland and UK wide, from small residential systems to large complex industrial solutions. Operating successfully for over 17 years the company employs only highly skilled SEAI accredited installers and engineers who are experts in the field, and no work is outsourced so a high-quality finish is always guaranteed.
