ANNUAL DECLARATION AND CLAIM FOR LOW-EMISSION SLURRY SPREADING FOR GLAS

If any farmer that applied under the LESS option on his GLAS plan the department of Agriculture are sending out forms to every farmer in GLAS that has opted for this option.

This is an annual declaration form which must be completed, in order to process your 2018 payment. The fully completed form must be submitted by Wednesday the 31st of October 2018 to the GLAS section in Johnstown castle estate.

Your 2018 GLAS payment cannot processed until this form is returned and approved for payment.

You are not required to enclose receipts with this form. They must be kept by you with your record sheets and made available for inspection.

Commonage framework Plans

The Department of Agriculture are sending out letters to all farmers that still don’t have their commonage framework plans submitted online at this stage. Until this framework plan is submitted the applicants on that commonage wont get their balancing money for 2017 and their 2018 GLAS money.

There are a range of issues holding up the submission of these commonage plans, these are farmers not paying for the drawing up of the plan, problems with the online system, and advisors waiting on the information back into them from people on the framework plan.

GLAS TRAINNING COURSES

The Department of Agriculture are sending letter to farmers that are in GLAS and they have not yet completed a Glas Trainning course. If you are one of these farmers get on to your advisor immediately as this course has to be completed by the 31st of Decemeber 2018. This is a six hour course and the participant gets paid €158 for completing the course.
