New changes for the BTAP Scheme have been announced for 2014.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, today announced the operational details of the €40m investment package for suckler farmers in 2014.

We held a meeting on Monday Night at 7.30 in St. Mary’s Parish hall for Suckler and Beef farmers. There was good attendance on the night and the main speaker was Charles Smith who is the General Manager of the group.

Many queries have arisen about the Beef Data programme in 2013 and when payment for 2013 born calves will issue.

We sponsored the calf class at the Commercial Cattle Winter Fair in Stranorlar mart on the 27th - 28th of October.

Farmers participating in the Beef Data Programme are now advised to complete all relevant data and ensure it is submitted to the Department of Agriculture.
